I have been a home brewer for 30+ years for my enjoyment and have been competing for the last few years, enjoying the camaraderie and competitiveness of the other brewers. I have been a brewer at every Flannel Fest and placed 3rd last year in the Brown Ale category with Coffee. I live in Sheboygan Falls, but came back to compete again. Enjoy Flannel Fest, Prost!

Homebrewer of 6 years (this month) starting with Northern Brewer extract kits on the kitchen stove (like everyone) for 66 batches and expanded to All Grain Brew In A Bag for the past several years making another 145 batches. Exclusively ales due to very simple set up with kitchen stove, stock pot and buckets, no temperature control, fanciest thing I had was a pump instead of a siphon. Mostly trying to make good, interesting, and consistent beers to have a few after work kind of thing. Bottled around 7000 bottles over the years so maybe more than a few after work! Recently stepped to an all in one electric system (BrewZilla) and kegging which both of these beers were made on but using existing stovetop recipes. To get inspiration for new beers/ingredients visited many breweries (over 150) and read a lot of books on the subject (about 100). Fascinating hobby and happy to share with the public.
